BSA presents to you five funpacked events that would greatly shape your grad school experience at Penn. Be sure to mark your calendars!

EVENTS:

  1. Coffee Chat: October 26th 6-8 pm Greenburg Lounge –  Not sure which classes to take next semester and would like to talk to some other biotech students about it? Just need a break after midterms ended? The BSA will be holding a coffee chat/registration help and we will be providing drinks and snacks! Even if you know your schedule, come and stop by to talk to other students and help them! Or just grab some snacks!
  2. Summer Internship Panel: November 3rd 6-7 pm Raiser Lounge – Focusing on first year students, come and talk to some 2nd year students who have been through the process of applying to and completing a summer internship. The panelists are still TBD but it will be a great way to get some of your questions answered! For 2nd year students, we are still looking for 2-3 more students to be on the panel. Each panelist will get a small token for participating. If you are interested, please send the BSA board an email with “Summer Internship Panel” in the subject line.
  3. Industry Alumni Panel: November 14th 6-8 pm, Singh Center –  This year, we will have the pleasure of hosting six different biotech alumni from different industries who will be coming back to talk to us about their experiences and answer any questions we may have for them. For second years and above, this is a great opportunity to network and for first years, this will be a chance to see where our degree can take you before finalizing your spring classes or summer internship choices! Dinner will be provided and there will be raffle prizes.  Dress: Business Casual RSVP is needed to ensure that enough food will be available for all.

Mike Wang: GSEG Rep

I am a first-year Master’s in Biotechnology student currently pursuing the Biopharmaceutical/Engineering Biotechnology Track. I recently graduated from UCLA last spring with a degree in Microbiology, Immunology, and Molecular Genetics. As a new member of the BSA board, I am interested in connecting with my fellow biotechnology students through a variety of events and activities. I hope to assist in BSA’s mission to address the important issues of the student community and improving the quality of student life. As BSA’s GSEG representative, I wish to represent BSA’s interests to the GSEG board.
